Hello and Happy November! Thanksgiving is on the horizon and the start of the holiday season is almost here.
November is our Home Issue and we are very excited to feature the home of Colleen Barker and Adam Mrotek. These two creative individuals purchased a two bedroom, one bath house on 7th Avenue in the bucolic, tree-lined neighborhood of Land Park in 2014 and transformed it into a completely updated three bedroom, two bath charmer.
This month’s issue also features an article on the changing face of Oak Park. You’ll learn about mandarin season in the nearby region of Newcastle and read about this month’s subject of Real Wives, Melissa Dixon. If you didn’t know about the Capitol Dance Project, a motivated group of artists who bring their many talents together in the off season, check out what they’ve been up to.
And lastly, you’ll learn more about the mission of the Sacramento Food Bank and Family Services. This story is particularly timely because their annual Run to Feed the Hungry will occur once again on Thanksgiving Day.
Many thanks to our faithful readers and business partners who support the magazine. From the staff at Sacramento Lifestyle Magazine, we wish you and your family a very happy Thanksgiving.
All my best,
Pamela Baker, Editor
